A Utah Ridge Was His Favorite Spot as a Kid. Years Later, He Made It His Home.

When he was a child, Steven Christensen would ride his bike on the dirt trails surrounding his family’s home in Utah’s Emigration Canyon, which is just east of Salt Lake City. One landmark was a pinkish boulder on the ridge top that someone—perhaps an early homesteader, Christensen theorized—had placed there.
