An oceanfront home in the Bahamas is going on the market for $13.5 million.

The roughly 8,000-square-foot, six-bedroom home sits on 1.5 acres in the Abaco Club on Winding Bay, according to Kristi Hull, the listing agent and director of sales there.

The seller is Mark Birkbeck, who founded Scotland-based department store the House of Bruar with his wife, Linda Birkbeck. The Birkbecks weren’t available for comment, but their son, Patrick Birkbeck, said the couple bought the property in 2008 for about $3 million and built the house, which was move-in ready by the summer of 2010…..
