Homeowners leverage security cameras to monitor properties, communicate with firefighters and in some cases, watch their homes succumb to the blaze
Chris Moyer and his wife, Andren Moyer, watched foliage next to their house burn in the Spokane wildfires on their Ring camera.

Gregg Morin and his wife, Brooke Morin, were at a street fair about 40 minutes away from their house in Spokane, Wash., when they learned a nearby wildfire had started rapidly growing. They jumped in their car and started racing back home.
Initially, the couple closely monitored footage from their Ring home-security cameras on their cellphones. They were worried that their three small dogs, who they had left inside, would run out the dog door into the backyard. LEARN MORE...
